Separate native and bridged USDC before a cross-chain transfer

A route worksheet for identifying token form, issuer-supported chain, receiving account and transfer mechanism without assuming all USDC labels are interchangeable.

Write down the token form before the destination

A wallet's USDC label does not by itself show whether the token is native to that chain, bridged from somewhere else or accepted by a receiving service. A transfer needs agreement on asset form, blockchain, contract or issuer reference, destination address and any memo. A matching-looking address is not enough.

Circle's supported-chain documentation identifies the networks and currencies supported by its services; those issuer-side listings are a starting point, not a promise that every third-party receiving account supports the same route. The public source establishes this starting point; its date and scope belong beside the specific decision in the USDC route card.

Identify the sending token

Bridged representations can share a familiar name with issuer-native assets. Inspect the token contract and chain in the sending wallet and compare them with Circle's current directory. Open the sending wallet's token details and write the exact chain and contract. Circle's directory can identify issuer-supported native issuance on that network.

Do not infer native issuance from a price display or logo. A bridged token bearing a USDC label may not be the asset a receiver expects. Do not infer equivalence from a matching symbol or near-one-dollar display.

Read the receiver's authenticated instructions

A service may enable only certain chains, token forms or memo combinations. Open the receiving account afresh and copy its current asset, network and address instructions. Read the receiving account's current asset selector, network, address and memo instruction in one session. A saved image from a previous deposit can be stale.

A previous successful route can be discontinued or changed without updating an old screenshot. If the receiver names only a different chain or token form, stop. A hexadecimal-looking address does not prove cross-chain support.

Distinguish a transfer from a bridge

Moving value across chains requires a defined mechanism, not a normal send to an address on the other chain. Identify the bridge or issuer protocol, its custody and failure model before considering it. A bridge is a separate protocol with its own source and destination chains, fees and failure modes. Name that mechanism before assuming value can move across networks.

Do not improvise a cross-chain route when the receiving page does not explicitly support it. Sending a token to an address on the wrong route does not cause an automatic conversion. Avoid experimenting with funds to discover undocumented compatibility.

Budget the fee asset separately

Network fees are often paid in the chain's native asset, not in USDC. Record the fee asset and amount displayed by the wallet without treating an estimate as fixed. Check the native asset needed for transaction fees and the wallet's actual fee estimate. Keep it separate from the USDC amount intended for the receiver.

Never buy or send additional crypto solely because an unverified intermediary claims it can unlock a deposit. A prompt asking for an additional 'release payment' after a failed route may be a second scam rather than a normal network fee.

Reconcile transaction and account credit

A network transaction may confirm while the receiving account does not credit an unsupported token. Keep the txid, chain and authenticated account status together for support. Save the txid and network explorer status alongside the receiving account's credit status. One may be final while the other remains unresolved.

A test transfer can still be irrecoverable; use it only when the route is independently supported. Provide the exact asset form and route to authenticated support. A chain confirmation alone cannot establish that an unsupported representation will be credited.

Use Circle for issuer-side support only

The directory directly supports the supported-chain distinction and should be checked at decision time. Reopen the named HTTPS page when applying the USDC route card; an internal SignalBet guide is context, not the authority for a changing fact.

Circle does not certify a gaming site's deposit availability, local legality or recovery policy. Do not extend that source into a conclusion about an individual case it does not cover.

Stop at the first unsupported coordinate

A complete route card is more valuable than a fast transfer that relies on a ticker or familiar address. Recheck the disputed item in the USDC route card before a consequential action and retain the dated answer.

A route card can be read aloud before a transfer: issuer or token form, sending chain, contract, receiving chain, authenticated destination, memo if required, and fee asset. Every field should come from a current source rather than a chat image. Circle's supported-chain list answers the issuer-side question; the receiving service must separately state which exact asset and network it credits. If either side is silent about a bridged representation, do not assume it is interchangeable with native USDC. A chain explorer may later prove that tokens moved, but not that an unsupported account route will credit them. Keep the transaction ID and both source pages for a bounded support question. There is no need to test an undocumented path with essential or gambling funds.

  • A bridged representation can carry a familiar ticker without being issuer-native USDC.
  • The receiver's current network selector outranks a past deposit screenshot.
  • An ordinary send cannot turn a token on one chain into another chain's token.
  • The fee asset may be native gas even when the amount sent is USDC.
  • Keep chain confirmation beside the separate account-credit status.

Do not move essential funds or chase losses through a stablecoin route. Adults 18+ must also meet local legal-age rules. Gambling is optional entertainment, not income or debt recovery. Protect essential money, set time and spending limits, never borrow or chase losses, and use the responsible-play centre for a break, blocking, exclusion or support.
